In-game Sales and Payments

In-game sales and payments will be done in the project’s own currency. For most of the projects this means DAR, but external projects can be onboarded with their own token and use it in their games. Fees will be taken in the same currency token the players use to pay. Those fees only apply to sales and payments done with a crypto token, and not the ones made with in-game currencies.

Protocol fees

A protocol fee called “Network Fee” must be collected over all in-game sales and payments. The specific fee rate is determined on a case-by-case basis during the initial project discussion phase, taking into account the project's economic design, sales types, and integration with Multiverse tokenomics.

As an incentive for deeper integration with the Multiverse economy, projects adopting Moon Coins as a soft currency within their game may be eligible for the minimum fee rate on their sales.

Conversely, projects that choose not to utilize Moon Coins in their economic framework may be subject to a higher Network Fee. The exact rate is determined based on the project's economic model and game type, with higher fees imposed on those less integrated with Multiverse principles.

This fee system is instrumental in maintaining a balanced and thriving ecosystem, encouraging projects to align closely with the Multiverse tokenomics. It incentivizes the use of Moon Coins and the broader adoption of ecosystem-wide economic principles, while also providing a revenue mechanism for the continued development and expansion of the DON ecosystem.

Project fees

Because in-game sales are primary sales made by the project, no project fees will be collected. After all fees are deducted, the remaining value is entirely for the project.

Royalty fees

Projects can collect Royalty fees for NFT sales of their own collections made in their game store.
